Editorial Policy

Sources and Scope

We prioritize industry associations and standards bodies, material manufacturers’ technical literature, and publicly available technical research. Other traceable professional sources may supplement these references.

Material database pages collect references in References & Data Notes. Articles include a reference section where sources are provided. Citations identify the supporting publication and link to the original source when available.

Numerical Data

Material-property values need context. We aim to identify the material grade, condition or temper, applicable product form, units, value type and supporting source. Typical results, minimum or maximum limits, ranges and calculated values are kept distinct.

Coverage depends on the available evidence. Missing values are not filled with invented estimates, and data from different grades or conditions is not treated as interchangeable.

Updates and Corrections

We update or correct content when reliable supporting information becomes available. To report an issue, email contact@metalsalloy.com with the page URL, the statement or value concerned, and a supporting source. Include the grade, condition and product form when relevant.

Independence

MetalsAlloy operates independently. Citing a third-party publication does not imply endorsement, partnership or certification by its author or institution. Images and third-party materials remain subject to their respective licenses and attribution requirements.
